I Found My Thrill.....on Cherry Hill

Today we went to Green Bluff again. Last day to pick cherries. We also picked some raspberries. I am SO glad that they don't preweigh everyone who walks in their gates!! I think all of us ate our fair share of cherries and raspberries. The orchard we went to was Cherry Hill. The kids have never picked cherries or raspberries before and Caite could not believe how the cherries hung on the trees. The orchard had 3 different types of cherries-Rainier (red and yellow in color), Bing (deep red, purplish) and Pie (bright red, like maraschino's).

Yummy....cherries

Reaching for the good ones Stinker, did not want his picture taken, but wanted to show off the "bunch" of cherries he picked.
Caite is standing on a step ladder-reaching far inside

Can you see the cherries in my teeth?

"tree of a kind"

Mike getting the high ones, Josh and Caite getting the low ones Look how big, plump and delicious they look!!! YUM, YUM!!!

"Can I eat this one, Dad?"

Buckets full of cherries, walking over to pick raspberries, now.Show me what raspberries to pick, dad.
Just like this?
hmm, I think I like picking these things.hmm, I think I just might eat it!
WOW!! What a haul!
Check out the raspberries!
Beautiful!!
We don't have anymore of the strawberries left from our last trip. Mike made quit a few smoothies and today, made the last strawberry smoothie for the kids. We are going to try and make some raspberry freezer jam, maybe some cherry jam, also. Hopefully it will turn out!! I guess, it is worth the try!
