Meredith Howlett and Chris Dennis Wedding

On Saturday, August 29, 2009, Mike's cousin, Meredith Howlett was married to Christopher Dennis. Meredith is Janice's niece, her dad is "Uncle" Gary Howlett. The wedding was held at the Dennis Family Home. It was a beautiful afternoon, wonderful setting and wonderful wedding. Sydney was the flower girl. Looking very pretty~
Mike loves this shot with the color of the flowers against her white dress and the field as the background
"Are you sure you know how to drive this thing, Dad?"
This is the photographer of the wedding....going through a lot of our pictures-he was in a lot of them! So Mike thought he would just take a picture of him, also!
True innocence~I love this picture of Miss Sydney!
Grandma Janice putting the final touches to Sydney's bow. Janice made the dress and made her anklets "pretty". Tae, Sydney's mom, made the hair piece.

Vacation 2009-Day 5, Mt. Rainer-WA

On our way home, we decided to take the "back" road to Mt. Rainier. Another beautiful day, hardly any clouds in the sky, no rain, no wind and the temperature was in the mid-80's. We have been told that it was actually a "miracle" to get to see Mt. Rainier on a clear day! It is usually foggy or cloudy around the top of the mountain.
Majestic view of Mt. Rainier
Mike got this close up. I was looking closely at the top...it looks like there is no snow on the tip of the mountain and it also looks like there was an avalanche on the mountain.
This picture reminds me of the "Rainier Beer" commercial when I was little!
We had a wonderful time while on vacation. It is amazing all the things you get to see and do and the time just flies by! I know we had basically the same trip last year, but we did do a lot more...hiking and enjoying the scenery.

Vacation 2009 Day 4, Long Beach, WA

Every year at Long Beach, Washington, during August, is the International Kite Festival. Mike and I decide to go and enjoy the beach and the kites. It was 70 degrees, mild wind, no clouds. A beautiful day!
I love the colors of this kite
If you look closely, you can see all the lines holding the kite down, also look at the head of the Octopus-there is a hole to let the air in, to keep it inflated.
It is amazing to me, that all of these kites do not get entangled with each other!
Our footprints in the sand on Long Beach! Mike loved this picture
Mike caught a picture of me and I was actually smiling! If you look at my shirt, I got sunburned on the back of my neck and my chest. I did not get burned anywhere else. I did not even get a color change on my arms or legs. This is the first sunburn that I think I have had in at least 30 years!
