We went to Grand Coulee Dam, again. This time for the 4th of July. Before we left, we called the visitor center to see if the third powerhouse was open for tours and if the laser light show was working. The answer was "YES!!" Thank goodness!! We spent the day at Banks Reservoir, touring the dam and waiting for the laser show. We were told that it was best to get a parking spot early for the laser show, because they will be doing fireworks after the the laser show.

Big Rock Wall, I took this pictures looking up....
Can you see me? Mike took this picture of me, taking the picture above, so you can see a comparison of how big this rock wall is.
Steamboat Plateau...I want to hike this, but it was said that it was heavy duty Rattlesnake time. so we decided against it at this time
Break in the road--I thought this looked pretty cool
Inside the glass elevator-looking down the pylon
Inside the powerhouse, these are some generators-they look small, but they are not!!
Pylon of the elevator, looking up. We started from this point.
Roosevelt Reservoir for the "other side of the dam"
Eagle Sculpture looking out onto the Columbia River from Powerhouse three
Caite peeking through dad's sweatshirt keeping warm
Well, this trip to Grand Coulee Dam was more of a success. We did not get any good pictures of the laser show. The kids loved the show and the fireworks......Maybe a new tradition????
Hope everybody had a wonderful and safe 4th of July!!
