Over 4th of July weekend, we went to Wolf Point for my cousin Jami's wedding. We decided to go through Glacier Park since the kids have not gone through there before. Which leads us to take US Highway 2 across the hi-line to Wolf Point. Now I remember why I didn't like this highway. Mind you...the roads were good. No road construction. No turns. No twists. Just STRAIGHT AND NARROW all the way to Wolf Point. Talk about putting someone to sleep! I had a hard time staying awake! We decided to leave Spokane Thursday afternoon and stay at a hotel in Columbia Falls to get an early start through the park and on the road, that way we would not be driving in the dark on Highway 2.
Entrance at West Glacier
This Eagle is huge! I don't have anything to compare it too, but it has to be at least 30 feet wide
One of the many pretty waterfalls
Mike took this picture of me after I took some pictures for a couple that was at the Heaven's Peak rest area. I was laughing because they were trying to teach me how to use their Nikon camera (we have a Canon)
What a beautiful blue sky, but there was this eery cloud coming over the mountain range
The Weeping Wall Waterfalls
The eery cloud again
The cloud was right over Logan Pass. That is were we saw all the animals last summer, this time we didn't see any. The vision was about 10 feet in front of the Jeep when we got up there. The temperature dropped down to 42 degrees.

The eery cloud going over the mountain range

Caite took this picture of Dad through the sun roof of the Jeep. I thought it turned out pretty neat. She has a good eye. Great...it runs in the family...more camera's to be bought!
Caite took this of Josh sleeping.
Saturday afternoon we drove out to Fort Peck Lake. You would not believe how many people were at the dredge cuts! I think all of Valley and Roosevelt County were there! So we headed to Flat Lake, which is between the Sub-stations on the face of the dam and the spillway. Not many people here, but it was perfect. Josh and Caite got to be in the kayaks at the same time
This is at the hotel before we headed to Fort Peck. Josh and Mike were setting things up and Caite was helping out, also
Caite took this picture in dinosaur country (Phillips County-Malta area). She thought the cloud looked like a dinosaur, it actually does look like one!
