Sorry it has been a while since I posted a blog. We just haven't taken as many pictures as we usually do this past February, so I thought I better get February pictures on here! I don't know about you, but I have just about had it with snow and cold. I am SO READY for spring to come. I want to go hiking and exploring!!
Zach and Dylan turned 5 this month. Wow, how time flies! My father-in-law, Jim, is protesting the snow and is growing a beard. Janice doesn't like it, but I think it looks pretty nice, if it were trimmed up! Josh and Caite came over Valentines day, we went out to Grandma and Grandpa's to celebrate Uncle Dave's birthday. Zach and Dylan love tormenting their big cousin Josh! Sydney and Caite putting the candles on Dave's birthday cake.I am SO GROUNDED from buying yarn. Mike said I need to start doing something with the yarn I got. But...If I start a project, I need matching colors!
I made these two baby afghans and quilted the back of one.
Mike was wondering if I was ever going to crochet an afghan for us...so I started. Of course it has purple in it! It is about 7 feet wide-haven't finished it yet, but work on it about 1 hour each night. Mike wanted it long enough to reach across both recliners for both of us to share when watching TV.
AND.....Walker had designed a tattoo that she wanted my mom, her and myself to get. It is a breast cancer awareness ribbon that resembles a treble clef sign. Mom's is to say "survivor", mine "Mom" and Walker's "Grandma". She was wanting us to get it tattooed on one of our breast.
Well...I was the first to do it...but I got it on my calf instead. I wanted it to be where people can see it when I wear shorts or capri's. I also wanted it done before Mike and I did the Race for the Cure, here in Spokane on April 19.
This picture is about 1 hour after I had it done.
Would you believe it took me 22 years to finally get the courage to get a tattoo done. Now that I have it...I will not get another. This one has meaning and is just right.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day. I know that March came in like a lion here in Spokane, so hopefully it will go out like a lamb. Like I said, I am so ready for spring!
