We Have Moved!!

Well, Mike and I are officially living in Spokane. We got an apartment, it is a 2 bedroom with 2 bathrooms. Can't go wrong with 2 bathrooms. It is approximately 5.5 miles from where I am going to work and it is 6.6 miles from Mike's parents house.

We had Raelynn, Josh and Caite for a full 7 days when we were trying to move. Moving with little kids can be quite trying at times. But we got her done!! Our apartment is still in disarray at this time, but it will come together.

Today we got our internet and cable TV installed. I thought it was pretty cool for the cable people to work on a Saturday.

Today was a lazy day for Mike and I. We have been going and going for the past week and took it actually easy today. We went grocery shopping, took a nap and watched TV for a while. So...tomorrow means, more unpacking!! Ooh..what fun!!

Will keep everyone posted on what is going on with us!!

Getting Ready For the Big Move

Well, I went to Spokane on Monday with Walker and my mom to take a Uhaul load to storage. It was a good trip considering that my mom hates driving with me or Walker. The roads were great until we got to St. Regis, MT, where it started to snow lightly until we got to Lookout Pass then it really started to come down. But we made it to Spokane with no problem. My brother, JD, followed us and spent the night in Spokane and went on to Portland Tuesday morning to go and visit Eddie and the boys.

While is Spokane, mom thought I was getting her lost. I think I actually know my way around the town now. Whenever Mike is driving, I am always looking at the road signs so I can find my way around. I was taking backroads with less traffic and for sure mom thought we were lost!! Why not take a quiet road out to the Valley instead of a busy street or the interstate? I think I am going to like the driving in Spokane-once I get all the backstreets figured out.

Mom, Walker and I went to the Spokane Valley Mall...you can't take those two ANYWHERE!!! they can be so embarrassing sometimes! We were walking down the hall and some young girls walked pasted us. Walker said "gawd, can those shorts get any shorter", she didn't think she said it very loud, just loud enough for Grandma and me. The girl turned around and said "yes they can and I have something on underneath them anyways". So Walker turns around and says "sorry, honey, but you look like a scank"...I thought for sure the war was on!!

Well, one load down to Spokane and several more to go! I don't know if it has hit me yet or not. All I know is the next time we take a load to Spokane, it is going to have to be in a truck and not a trailer. I am just glad our Jeep made it with no problems...except having to fill up the tank more often due to pulling the trailer and high winds along the way.
